Celebrate being a Trustee – enhanced health & wellbeing
Great article on why trustees deserve far more recognition from Charity Digital
Why trustees should be celebrated
Being a Trustee is one of the most powerful – and often overlooked – forms of personal development
You’re not just advising from the sidelines. You’re:
- Shaping strategy and governance
- Bringing your professional expertise to real-world problems
- Managing risk and innovation at board level
- Creating meaningful impact without financial reward [charitydig…tal.org.uk]
In my own role as a Trustee at Margaret Green Animal Rescue, I’ve seen firsthand how this stretches leadership capability — particularly through our digital transformation work, where aligning purpose, technology, and resource constraints is both challenging and deeply rewarding.
But there’s another dimension we don’t talk about enough: health and wellbeing.
Trusteeship can be demanding, but it can also be energising. It reconnects you with purpose, contribution, and community — all of which are critical to personal resilience and wellbeing.
That’s where I see a powerful link to complementary health approaches, including homeopathy — supporting individuals not just to perform, but to sustain performance over time.
If we want better leaders, we need healthier leaders.
That’s a conversation I’m increasingly having through my clinical work 👉 http://homeopathyhealthservices.com
Trustees don’t just shape organisations — they grow themselves in the process.
